Active people are always looking for the most compact and unobtrusive digital audio player so that it doesn’t interfere with their sport. People want their music but don’t want their audio player getting in the way. They also want it to be very rugged to withstand the extreme sports environment. That means extreme shock resistance, and 100% protection against sweat, snow, rain and water.
SwimMan, Inc. understands this and has answered the call by waterproofing the new Apple 3rd generation iPod Shuffle and its in-line headset controls. “The 3rd generation iPod Shuffle is our most recent addition to our line of waterproof products” says Beverly Dressell, director of sales and marketing. “For a number of years we have been waterproofing the best mp3 players and iPods including the 2nd generation iPod Shuffle so that active people and swimmers can workout to their tunes or audio books and keep their audio safe and protected without the need for a bulky and potentially leaky case. By internally waterproofing the new iPod Shuffle, we have created the perfect workout partner that can withstand the most extreme environments encountered in active sports including extended submersion in water to over 25 feet in depth. Now you can 'clip it on and go'...anywhere!"
Paired with SwimMan’s patented waterproof headset with unsurpassed sound quality that comfortably stays in your ears regardless of your activity, people can now take their music anywhere, from the ski slopes, to the ocean waves – waterproof – guaranteed.

SWIMMAN Waterproofs in-line Controls on Apple's Earphones
Solves problem that has driven iPod and iPhone users crazy
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 20, 2009, CAMARILLO, CALIFORNIA - SWIMMAN, Inc., the originator of waterproof audio players and waterproof headphones, also known for waterproofing the Apple iPod Shuffle, has done it again! Now, SWIMMAN has waterproofed the in-line controls on Apple's earphones for the 3rd generation iPod Shuffle, Nano, iPhone and iTouch.
To improve universal functionality within their line of iPod and iPhone products, Apple introduced earphones with in-line controls. These controls allow the iPod/iPhone user easy access to functions such as volume control, music and video playback control, voice recording/phone answering, etc. (depending on the Apple product being used); all this, and it’s wrapped into three simple buttons right there on your headset.
While providing added convenience, a number of users have encountered problems with the new in-line controls. These issues are primarily related to moisture (water, sweat, etc.). This problem became increasingly evident when Apple customers using the 3rd generation iPod Shuffle during workouts experienced control malfunctions due to perspiration infiltrating the controls. Numerous comments have been posted on the Apple discussion boards about this problem (Topic : Sudden volume increase problem). For example: “I went running with my new shuffle this morning, and after about 25 minutes the volume maxed out. I think it's because some sweat got into the headphone controls and shorted them out.”
Having considerable experience with waterproofing electronics, including the iPod Shuffle, SWIMMAN has effectively solved this problem. By using their proprietary internal waterproofing technology, SWIMMAN has made the in-line control capsule waterproof and shock resistant. Now, without a doubt, Apple customers will be able to use their iPod/iPhone with the in-line controls in any number of trying environments without being concerned about water or moisture damage to the controls.
By waterproofing the control capsule from the inside out, SWIMMAN has taken the impressive concept of Apple Earphones with in-line controls and turned it into the ultimate all-environment accessory.
The Apple Earphones with SWIMMAN waterproofed in-line controls can be purchased from Swimman on their web site www.swimman.com for $39.95.
Now you can "plug it in and go"...anywhere!
In addition, SWIMMAN offers the industry-leading, high-fidelity, SWIMMAN waterproof headsets that have revolutionized our enjoyment of aquatics (www.swimman.com/PACKAGEC.html).
